Join us on May 3, 2025 for the Silence the Shame Field Day, a vibrant celebration leading up to May 5th, National Silence the Shame Day. This unique event is dedicated to promoting holistic well-being and serves as a platform for community engagement, awareness and support for mental health.

Registration is Free for General Admission and Relay Games
Team Size: Up to 5 members
Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 or older to compete
At STS field Day, we invite you to participate in an exciting array of activities to uplift mind and body. The event promises something for everyone, from competitive games like relays, tug of war, and fun challenges to mindfulness practices such as yoga and creative expression activities. We aim to create a welcoming environment where youth, adults, and families can connect, share their experiences, and gain valuable insights into the importance of mental well-being.
What to Expect:
Registration & Team Check-In:
Opens 11:30 AM near the main field entrance. Please check in upon arrival to sign your waiver, complete media consent, and receive your wristband.
Parking: Free on-site parking is available, with overflow lots serviced by a shuttle. Look for directional signage and STS team in event shirts.
Relay Games & Teams
Competitive Relay Games: All relay teams must have five (5) members—you can register your team in advance or join/create teams onsite.

Sack Race Relay
Egg & Spoon Relay
Giant Jenga
Water Balloon Relay
Group Hula Hoop Pass
Flip the Cup Relay
Tic Tac Toe Relay
Tug of War
Musical Chairs
Competitive relays are open to ages 18 and older and will run from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Spectators are also welcome to cheer on the teams!
Wellness Activities
Yoga and Mindful Meditation – Start your day with guided yoga and mindfulness sessions.
Line Dancing with Southside Steppers – Learn and join dances like the Tamia Line, Boots on the Ground, The Wobble, and Cupid Shuffle.
Double Dutch Aerobics – High-energy jump rope fun, great for all skill levels!
Self-Care Station: Create affirmation mirrors, vision boards, sand art, keychains and mini gratitude jars
Lawn Games: Connect with others playing classic games like jenga, connect four, Cornhole, UNO, or Spades
Kids' Zone
Activities For All Ages: Hula hoops, kids’ tug of war, game truck, face painting & balloon artists. Interactive inflatables/games (soccer darts, football blitz, jumbo Connect Four, cornhole) and more!

What to Bring
Blankets or portable lawn chairs: There is limited permanent seating, so please bring your own to enjoy the activities comfortably.
Comfortable clothes and athletic shoes
Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses
Water bottles: Complimentary bottled water will be available at hydration stations (please note, there is no running water on the field).
Team spirit—wear matching shirts or costumes if you like!
Spending money: Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks and the Mays HS Concession stand (most are cashless).
