For the past decade, volunteers like you have been the heartbeat of Silence the Shame. As we celebrate “10 Years of Silence the Shame: Creating a Safe Space for Mental Wellness”—honoring our past and investing in our future—we want to showcase the people who’ve helped make this movement real.
Your voice matters.
This year, Silence the Shame is commemorating 10 years of impact:
“10 Years of Silence the Shame: Creating a Safe Space for Mental Wellness. Honoring our past. Investing in our future.”
Your voice and journey are part of that story.
If you feel comfortable, we’d be honored for you to record a short video (30–60 seconds) sharing how Silence the Shame has touched your life. Sharing is completely voluntary, and you can share as much or as little as feels right for you.
If you’re willing, here’s a simple guide for your video:
- Your first name (or you may choose to remain anonymous).
- One sentence about yourself (e.g., “I’m a student,” “I’m a parent,” “I’m a mental health advocate in my community”).
- How Silence the Shame has supported or encouraged you (for example: through a workshop, conversation, event, or resource).
- A hopeful message to others, such as:
- “You are not alone.”
- “It’s okay to ask for help.”
5. Optional: A call to action like, “Join me in supporting 10 Years of Silence the Shame.”
To say thank you and unify our visuals, we’ll provide a 10-year Silence the Shame t-shirt for you to wear in your video.
